New Bangalter Track???

If you followed the link from Brett in the comments of the last post, you came across what is being alleged as a new track by Thomas Bangalter, called "Love". I've been scouring the web, but have come up with nothing more then speculation as to its authenticity, but either way its a solid track. Lemme know what you think.

EDIT: It appears that in addition to Headphone Sex, the track was also linked to on Palms Out. This seems fishy to me, but whatever.

EDIT OF EDIT (Re-Edit?):Ok, here's the deal: I dont know who TB is, neither do you. I like the song a lot, though. That said, I'm not willing to just accept Louis La Roche as its rightful owner, unless i see some more proof, beyond a brand new myspace page, conveniently opened the day the track was "leaked". No offense to Mr. La Roche, as i really do like the track, but if it truly does originate with him, it seems likely that he came up with the "TB" moniker and leaked it himself. Which is lame, but creative nonetheless. But until I get more proof, I'm still making no calls.

Nevertheless, I'm sorry that several of you are disappointed that I posted this, but in Disco House circles, its been kinda the big buzz this week, and despite whatever deception might be going on, its a bangin' track. Lets put this one to bed and move on, shall we?

Hello Ethan. Such a good track, in the "together spirit" but I'm waiting to know if it's official.

I've searched a little on the web and I found this : On Erol Alkan's forum, someone said that X. De Rosnay from Justice confirmed that "Love" was a Bangalter track.

It's possible, because of DJ Falcon's interview in which he announced the return of Roulé in 2008. (You spoke about this ITW some time ago)

Return of Roulé rec. . . . The best thing that can happen in 2008 I think.

No doubt good news, sounds a lot more like the "together" tracks then TB's solo stuff, which was always my preference anyway.

Yeah, nice little track. But I guess it's not a Bangalter original. Let's face it. Its 2008. Yes the early days were good, isn't it time to move on with new stuff? I can't imagine that this track would be a sort of comeback for Roulé suddenly. I've missed the Roulé 2008 story though (link anyone?). To be onest, "Love" sounds just to cheesy. Especially when you compare it with the label's releases. Fake. To bad a lot of blogs are giving it so much attention (No offence Ethan ;)), the one who made it should be lauhging out loud. At least that's what I would do when they all where spreading my home made track like this. :D

I'm holding off judgement. Frankly, it sounds more Cryda then Roulé to me [though that compressor pumping sounds way Daft to me], and yes it seems like an odd progression for Bangalter: the authenticity should be questioned. But frankly who gives a shit? If it takes the Bangalter name to get disco house back into the collective musical consciousness, so be it. Let the blogosphere do for disco-house what it has done for Electro and we'll be alright.

i agree with ette i think we all know deep down this isnt TB or even Together but hopefully if what DJ Falcon said was true we will see some of their stuff soon

hopefully 2008 will see a return of roulé crydamoure and while we are on old time stuff we rock music or at least Raw Man making house again

quite sure this is a fake... that sounds doens't sound perfect as every roule track do...

So some guy named Louis La Roche is claiming he made this song and there is a big mix up.
i find it hard to believe bangalter would throw a free track on random blogs...

Until I see some proof that this Louis La Roche isnt just claiming an unreleased track as his own (hardly a new idea in French House circles), i'm gonna reserve judgement.

Sam : Raw Man's new EP named "War Game" will be released soon on Kitsuné.

The excellent bravinthemix.com said that the track named War Game was a killer. Since he said that, I'm waiting, because I love some Raw Man tracks like Europa, Across The Universe, and the project "Aloud".

Ethan, what's your favorite track from Roulé ? Me : Spinal Scratch.

WAR GAMES!

thanks for the info ill have to keep a close eye on developments from kitsune then

i just hope Raw Man hasnt changed his style to a Justice sound, if he stays true to the sound he startedoff with then it should be a great track

and the proof that this is not bangalter is here

http://www.myspace.com/louislaroche

he has two blog posts one explaining how he isnt just pretending its him and a second containing a link to a 320 download of the track, thus proving it is his

regardless of it's originator, this track is awesome, and any resurgence of disco house will be met with open arms.

is the return of Roulé in 2008 confirmed by Dj Falcon or anyone else?

for me, I think that Thomas bangalter can be "louis la roche " it is not the first time that he could have taken another name (cf Roy Rogers...) ...

(excuse me for the language if i have made faults because i am french!)

i dont think roy rogers is Thomas either just someone with a similar style

Solid Goldberger: I love the blog.
But do us all a favor and edit this post if you would be so kind. Change the misleading title. Give the credit to Louis La Roche. Link to his myspace like you did for "Highlife" and call it day. People will get mad at me for getting mad at them, but I'm just pissed at all this "Fan Boy" izm with this fake bangalter track. I didnt expect your blog to join the hype, but now that you have, just go ahead and set the record straight with proper credit given to Louis La Roche and dispell all the Bangalter crap.

You said you had you doubts, now we know it's fake for sure. So please let everyone know, not just in the comments, but on the blog.

But hey, it's your blog, do what you want.

Love the blog. Dont want to see it full of DP fan boy lamers looking for fake tracks. I like the fact that there are poeple out there that still love the French Filter Disco sound. Just sad to find out in this way.

Peace & thanks Solild B.

This can't be Bangalter.

Definately uses a Bangalter vox loop from an earlier track called "Falling in Love" by bangalter...but this has been confirmed as a Hoax.

Tom Oke said...

it samples "It's The Falling In Love" by Michael Jackson. It's a good record but covers old ground somewhat!

With all due respect, Louis La Roche DID make this. He issued a statement saying it was his and offered a 320kbps version to prove it. Also, Pedro Winter (AKA Busy P and Daft Punk's former manager) also said that it wasn't by Thomas, and I don't think we can get more of an official verdict than that.
