I guess Studio B didn't close after all?

And good thing, too because they're hosting one of the best, Matthew Herbert, for a DJ set this weekend, and if its anything like his last NY appearance, at Canal Room in 2006, we're in for a real good time.

Kris Menace Remixes: Air & Roísin Murphy

I'm back, and I've brought with me some epic new-ish remixes from Kris Menace. The first is a remix of Overpowered, one of my favorite records of 2007, and the title track on her follow up to her amazing 2005 release, the Matthew Herbert-produced "Ruby Blue".

The 2nd track is a remix of "Mer du Japon" from Air's "Pocket Symphony", which came to my consciousness through the Alan Braxe Podcast from the UK's "Together" Party. Download it if you get the chance, its massive, and subscribe while you're at it, they have had a lot of great artists do mixes for them, including my favorite Norwegian, Todd Terje.

Remix Thursday

Palms Out Sounds' Remix Sunday is one of the things I look forward to every weekend, so I figured I might as well throw my picks out there. I'm gonna do my darndest to do this every thurs, but if i slip up, don't hate. These aren't hot out the Pro Tools like P.O.S.'s often are, but thats not what this is gonna be about, just good tracks to clap hands and stomp feet to.
