Vegas Tracks 2

It wasn't until i heard "Mamamia" that I gathered that these are all ABBA samples, which i find disturbingly impressive.

Vegas Tracks 1

Bruno, the patron saint of French house has sent in some classics, which you'll get to hear over the next couple days, starting with this classic cut. Rumored to be a Thomas Bangalter alias, it seems more likely that Roy Rogers is just a great knockoff.

Call and Response

I've received a bunch of great stuff from readers this week, including some requests from my little sidebar grovel-box, and I'm EXTREMELY excited to share with the rest of you.

Hope you enjoy!

First up is from my new pal Bruno, of the world-travelin' D.I.S.C.O. Texas crew: XINOBI/MOULINEX/D.I.S.C.O. TEXAS

Kris Menace Remixes: Air & Roísin Murphy

I'm back, and I've brought with me some epic new-ish remixes from Kris Menace. The first is a remix of Overpowered, one of my favorite records of 2007, and the title track on her follow up to her amazing 2005 release, the Matthew Herbert-produced "Ruby Blue".

Roisín Murphy - "Overpowered" (Kris Menace Remix) [RIGHT-CLICK TO DOWNLOAD]

The 2nd track is a remix of "Mer du Japon" from Air's "Pocket Symphony", which came to my consciousness through the Alan Braxe Podcast from the UK's "Together" Party. Download it if you get the chance, its massive, and subscribe while you're at it, they have had a lot of great artists do mixes for them, including my favorite Norwegian, Todd Terje.

Thanksgiving Break

Ii may take a couple days off from Blogging for the Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. I'm hosting people at my apartment for the first time, and I'm totally overwhelmed--my place is a total mess after spending the better part of the last month working on the road. I reserve the right to change my mind if y'all keep sending me great tracks (and they have been terrific, I'm sorry to those of you who i haven't individually thanked, I will get to catching up with emails over the weekend. In the meantime, here are two tracks that on this holiday, we can all be thankful for. First up, a new edit by my friend, Mercurius FM:

Marvin Gaye - "Sexual Healing" (Mercurius FM Soul Of House Mix) [RIGHT-CLICK TO DOWNLOAD]

Fafa Monteco - "Discocity" [RIGHT-CLICK TO DOWNLOAD]

Rondenion, Part 2

Yay for instant feedback!  Here are a couple more Rondenion tracks, thanks again to Rich Dreams. These are from the [apparently] killer "Tokyo Story EP" from Still Music
